SyferLock's GridSoftToken™ is a software-based one time password authentication application. GridSoftToken™ allows a user to restrict access to their account on protected resources, such as VPNs, WLANs and web applications, by requiring the user to enter additional credentials generated from a security grid displayed in the app.
GridSoftToken™ is easily self-serviced through SyferLock's Security Center and delivers organizations superior security through true 2 factor authentication and the added security of one time password/PIN generation. GridSoftToken™ helps achieve critical security requirements and compliance mandates from such regulations as PCI, FFIEC, SOX, GLB and others. Leveraging the mobile device, such as the iPhone, GridSoftToken™ facilitates secure universal access into networks, portals, and other cloud and web based applications and data.
Where SyferLock's GridSoftToken™ and its unique patented technology and methodology are superior, is that the critical security benefit of “user” authentication is delivered in addition to device-level authentication. Where other tokens generate and display the access code, password or PIN in the clear, SyferLock's GridSoftToken™ displays a security grid user interface that further requires a multi-token, knowledge-based authentication scheme for secure login. In cases of lost devices, attempts to access protected resources without authorization are further protected by this unique, patented aspect of SyferLock's GridSoftToken™.
Prerequisite: In order to use this application, your company must also have purchased SyferLock's GridGuard™ solution. The application will not generate security grids without being connected to a GridGuard™ server.
Note: This application does not provide two factor authentication to the iOS device on which the application is installed.
