It is easier to select better of two options than to tell which one of the options is the best or the third best. Elects solves this problem by making list sorting a game. You can sort text lists or groups of images.

To sort lists, e.g. images, Elect uses Elo Rating System. Each image has a rating, which is a number. A higher number indicates a better image, based on their results against other rated images. The winner of a contest between two images gains a certain number of points in his rating and the losing images loses the same amount. The number of points won or lost in a contest depends on the difference in the ratings of the images, so a image will gain more points by beating a higher-rated image than by beating a lower-rated image.
