Dave McKean is a writer, illustrator, photographer, and filmmaker who has been exhibited all over the world. He is the recipient of many awards, among them the Harvey Award for best new comic and graphic novel, the International Alph Art award at Angouléme, Italy's La Pantera Award, and 1st prize at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival. He created the covers for Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman series as well as cd covers, books, and comic covers for The Rolling Stones, John Cale, Stephen King, Alice Cooper, and Tori Amos to name a few.
