Contained in this single volume, The Iliad and The Odyssey are considered the most important works in ancient Greek literature, commonly dated to 8th century BC. Homer's epic poems chronicle the famous battles of the Trojan War and the hero Odysseus's fantastic ten-year journey to return home.
