by Marianne Schultz

plants vs zombies 2 iconThe sequel to Popcap’s incredibly popular tower defense game, Plants vs. Zombies has arrived. Plants vs. Zombies 2 features many of the same lovable and deadly plants from the first game along with new plants, zombies, power ups, and locations.

Here’s the official Plants vs. Zombies 2 trailer that gives some brief peeks of some of the new plants and other features:

Plants vs. Zombies 2 is free to download so there’s nothing standing in your way of getting it even if you’re watching your budget. If you still want more details before you dive in, check out the review over at TouchArcade where it’s earned five stars and deemed a “fantastic” sequel to the first version, which also earned five stars.

I just downloaded Plants vs. Zombies 2 this morning and am looking forward to playing it later (I shake my fist at you, work!). I absolutely loved the first version and expect to adore the sequel as well.

I cannot install this game in my Ipad 1.
The message show is: “This application requires a frontal camera”

How can I resolve this problem?

    Thank you

    Marta

    Hi!

We have iPad 1 and cannot download pvz2!

after so much anticipation, this is So disappointing!

Please, do you know any way to bypass the requirement for front facing camera?

    Thank you,

    Disappointed

Marta and SameasMarta: you can play this game on Ipad 1. You just have to download it from App cake or similar (only if you have a jailbroken ipad). The “in app purchases” wont work but I can assure ypu that the game works properly.

You do not need a jailbroken Ipad to install PvZ2 on your iPad1. Follow the steps in the link below except download PvZ2 instead of iPhoto as in the instructions. I did this for my wife and aside from the occasional crash, it works fine and is worth the restart now and then instead of forking over the cash for a newer iPad.

You have to pay $4.99 to install Iphoto, I don`t want to pay. Further more this application is for Ipad 2

You dont have to pay. Search PvZ2 in the webpage and install it. Its free.

I refer to Joe, I know that PVZ2 is free but iphoto no.

    I refer to this link:

because I have Ipad 1 and cannot install PVZ2 because I don`t have frontal cámera and I don’t want to jailbroken my Ipad.

I followed the above steps at

Pvs.Z now appears on my ipad but when I click the icon I get a momentary black screen then it goes back to the desktop. It doesn’t seem to run properly. Any ideas?
I should mention I have an Ipad 1
