The third-generation iPad’s retina display is definitely a beauty and I’m finding that I don’t want to sully it with apps that lack high-resolution graphics. As we noted last week, app developers are working hard to update their universal and iPad-specific apps with better graphics but how can you find which ones have been updated? Well, we’ve made a few behind-the-scenes changes here at AppShopper to help you out. Here is a search you should bookmark:
If your focus is on games, this search will narrow down your results even more:
Note that both universal and iPad-only apps will show in the results of these searches.
After you click on those search links, check out the RSS Feed link in the top right corner – you can use this link to subscribe to a feed of each search so you can stay on top of them through your favorite RSS reader (Reeder for the Mac and iPad is one of my favorites).
Apple just announced that more than three million 3rd-generation iPads were sold since its launch on Friday, March 16. Clearly there is strong demand for Apple’s latest tablet, which must be music to the ears of developers with iPad apps. If you’re new to the iPad or updating from an older model, stay with us here at AppShopper for the latest on new and updated apps and definitely install our very own (and free!) AppShopper app on your new iPad. Our app will give you easy access to the newest and most popular apps, the Top 200 apps in every category, plus your very own Wish List where you can track apps you want to get in the future. Our app can even alert you via push notifications when apps on your Wish List go on sale. How cool is that?
