Are you traveling for the holiday season? If you’re heading to an unfamiliar area, a navigation app may be just what you need to help you keep your bearings. Fortunately for you, several developers are decreasing the prices of their navigation app offerings this week and we wanted to point out a few to help you travel safely.

For the iPhone

On Black Friday, Navigon will be reducing the prices of their MobileNavigator USA and MobileNavigator MyRegion apps. The USA version will go down to $49.99 down to $29.99 and the MyRegion apps (West, Central, and East) will each go down to $19.99 from $29.99. Note that these prices aren’t in effect yet – they won’t hit until this Friday, November 26.

Several of TomTom’s apps are on sale though there’s no indication on how long these reduced prices will be in effect. For example, the U.S. & Canada version is currently $49.99, down from $59.99 (which is the lowest we’ve seen this version go) while the U.K. & Ireland version is now $74.99, down from $84.99. Magellan has recently made some major updates to its iPhone apps and they’re currently on sale. RoadMate North America is down to $44.99 from $59.99 and RoadMate USA is now $34.99, down from $49.99. These apps are on sale through December 1, 2010.

Sygic, which was one of the first developers to release a full turn-by-turn navigation app for the iPhone, has reduced the price on some of its universal Aura navigation apps. The Aura Drive UK & Ireland version is down to $49.99 from $64.99 while the Central Europe version is down to $59.99 from $69.99.

While these price reductions aren’t specifically due to the holiday season, these universal apps are worth a mention if you’re looking to outfit both an iPhone and iPad with some turn-by-turn navigation goodness.
