Google Goggles Now Available for iPhone

by Marianne Schultz

Google Goggles, a Google service that lets you search the web using pictures, is now available through the Google Mobile app for the iPhone. The update to versionĀ 0.7.0.4836 of Google Mobile that includes Google Goggles just hit the App Store this afternoon. Google Goggles will only work on an iPhone 3Gs or iPhone 4 even though the Google Mobile app is universal to include compatibility for the iPad as well.

Google has posted a video demonstrating how Google Goggles works on the iPhone:

Google Goggles first became available for Android devices, unsurprisingly, and the search giant had committed to releasing Google Goggles for the iPhone before the end of this year.

Any word on whether this app will support the new iPod Touch with cameras?
