Since the release of iOS 4 for the iPhone and iPod touch late last month, more and more apps have been getting updates to take advantage of its new multitasking features. Updates for several popular apps put in appearances within the last 24 hours that caught our eye.
Facebook has been updated to version 3.1.4 and now does the fast app switching trick so that you’ll go back to where you left off when you return to the app after using another. And, it now has high-resolution graphics that look much better than the previous version on the iPhone 4’s Retina Display. Unfortunately, it’s still not a universal app to present a modified interface appropriate for the iPad.
Yelp, the app for the online user-driven business review service of the same name, is now at version 4.3.0, also gaining fast-app switching capabilities along with the addition of in-app SMS capabilities – also a new feature of iOS 4 – to send business information to others.
Wunder Radio, a fantastic app that lets you listen to thousands of radio stations around the world that we reviewed when it appeared in universal format in early April, is now at version 1.9.2 and gains a lot under iOS 4. Like the recent update that the Pandora Radio app received, Wunder Radio can now continue playing in the background and playback can be managed through the controls in iOS 4’s app switching dock and by controls on compatible headphones and other accessories.
