Apple wasn’t going to let other developers steal the app-limelight at today’s WWDC keynote and announced that it will release an iMovie app for the iPhone.
The iPhone 4 is set to be released in the U.S. on June 24. It will feature a 5-megapixel camera with an auto-focus lens and will be able to record 720p HD video at 30fps. The iMovie app will let iPhone users edit their videos right on the device through an interface similar to that of its desktop counterpart for the Macintosh OS.
iMovie will cost $4.99. A specific date for its release has not been announced, but we expect that it will be at or shortly after the release of the new iPhone later this month.
