ZatzNotFunny revealed today that Sling Media, the maker of hardware and software that allows users to watch home TV content from anywhere, is working on an iPad app.
When it makes a noticeable difference in quality, we will definitely provide higher resolution streaming. The iPad is a good example of a device where we are hard at work on this, but unfortunately it won’t be there at the April launch.
While the app won’t be available at the iPad’s launch this Saturday, current SlingBox users with plans to get an iPad will undoubtedly be excited about this news considering the iPad’s 9.7-inch screen and optional 3G connectivity.
SlingPlayer Mobile for the iPhone costs $29.99 and an iPad version may cost more, though no official pricing or any more details on the release date have been made public.
