InfoXenter has announced that its Twitter app, Twitepad, has been approved by Apple and will become available on the iPad’s launch day. Twitepad takes advantage of the iPad’s large screen to show multiple columns of your Twitter stream as well as an in-app multi-tab browser.
The iPad’s 9.7-inch screen opens up a whole new world to app developers compared to the iPhone’s 3.5-inch screen. Twitepad will likely be a favorite among Twitter addicts with its ability to show up to 4 columns of tweets at once and switch between an unlimited number of Twitter accounts.
Twitepad’s integrated browser allows users to open links and still browse tweets at the same. Links tapped are first shown in thumbnail view, which can then can be enlarged to fill the browser window.
The browser can keep multiple tabs open at once – this is best shown in the demo video:
Other features include Instapaper support and Tweetmeme and bit.ly integration.
